  • Supervises the day-to-day activities of RNC-L’s ensuring the quality of investigative reports and that productivity requirements have been met. Trains, coaches, provides guidance, and develops skills and competency levels of assigned RNC – L’s. Proofreads reports and provides feedback on work product. Assists with team assignments, analyzes caseloads, and adjusts team duties as warranted.
  • Prepares in-depth medical chronology reports summarizing medical records as well as identifying related and unrelated medical specials; provides analysis and recommendations for further claims handling.
  • Creates a working chronology that, as required, also includes research influencing the clinical opinions pertaining to causation and damages; determines how pre-existing conditions, medications, past injuries and treatment gaps and noncompliance impact claims.
  • Professionally and effectively composes concise clinical opinions regarding the causality of the injury as well as proposes alternative causation; Includes an opinion on damages and potential future care expenses or injury’s as a whole person or partial with permanency.
  • Receives requests for general liability investigations; reviews and develops action plans and handles cases accordingly.
  ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Supports the organization's quality program(s).
  • Travels as required.
  SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides support, guidance, leadership and motivation to promote maximum performance.
  • Administers company personnel policies in all areas and follows company staffing standards and training recommendations.
  • Interviews, hires and establishes colleague performance development plans; conducts colleague performance discussions.
  QUALIFICATIONS   Education & Licensing Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Current valid RN license required. Legal Nurse Consultant (LNC) Certification or training highly preferred.   Experience Six (6) years of related clinical nursing experience to include two (2) years nurse consultant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Supervisory experience preferred. General or professional liability investigation related training with specialty experience with bodily injuries claims, auto accident related claims and/or slip, trip and fall claims preferred.   Skills & Knowledge

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and cost of specific location. For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting only, the range of starting pay for this role is $85,000 - $95,000.
