Sales Specialist

Position: Modern Trade Sales Specialist

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of any Business-related course (Marketing, Management, or equivalent)
  • With at least 1–2 years of experience in Modern Trade Sales, preferably in FMCG, food, or poultry industry
  • Experience in handling supermarket accounts is an advantage
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Results-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Must be willing to travel for fieldwork
  • Can work with minimal supervision

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned Modern Trade accounts including supermarkets, hypermarkets, and retail chains
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with buyers, category managers, and store personnel
  • Ensure consistent product availability, proper display, and optimal shelf positioning in all assigned accounts
  • Monitor sales performance and recommend strategies to improve volume and market share
  • Coordinate with internal departments such as Production, Logistics, and Finance to ensure timely order fulfillment and delivery
  • Execute trade promotions, merchandising activities, and in-store marketing programs
  • Conduct regular store visits to monitor competitor activities, pricing, and product movement
  • Prepare and submit accurate sales forecasts, reports, and account updates
  • Assist in the implementation of new product launches within Modern Trade channels
  • Address customer concerns and ensure high level of client satisfaction
