Role Description

This is a part-time remote role as a Science Educator at Filo. As a Science Educator, you will provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring sessions to students across various science subjects, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and General Science.

You will help students understand scientific concepts, clarify doubts, solve numerical and theoretical problems, and strengthen their analytical and critical thinking skills. Responsibilities include preparing for sessions, delivering interactive and engaging lessons, addressing students' questions promptly, and fostering a positive, inquiry-driven learning environment that builds scientific curiosity and confidence.

Qualifications

  • Strong subject matter expertise in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or General Science)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly
  • Ability to simplify theories, demonstrate problem-solving approaches, and connect concepts to real-world applications
  • Experience teaching school-level or higher-level science curricula (CBSE, ICSE, IB, IGCSE, AP, or other international boards is a plus)
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and online teaching tools
  • Patience, adaptability, and a passion for science education
  • Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional teaching setup
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Science or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus
  • Prior tutoring or classroom teaching experience preferred

Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: AED100.00 - AED250.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 10 per week
