Job Description

Career.zycto is actively seeking dedicated and professional Security Guards for both day and night shifts to join our client's esteemed team in Elgeyo-Marakwet County. This critical role involves maintaining a safe and secure environment for premises, personnel, and visitors. As a Security Guard, you will be the frontline of defense, responsible for deterring unauthorized activities, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with established security protocols. Your presence will provide a sense of safety and order, reflecting the high standards of professionalism our client upholds. You will be expected to conduct regular patrols, monitor surveillance equipment with keen attention to detail, and meticulously document all activities and incidents. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols of designated areas, ensuring all entry points, windows, and premises are secured.
  • Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV cameras, to identify and address any suspicious activities or breaches.
  • Control access to the premises, verifying identities, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining accurate logs.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, and disturbances, following established procedures.
  • Investigate and report all incidents, accidents, or suspicious activities, providing detailed and accurate documentation.
  • Enforce company rules and regulations, ensuring compliance by employees, visitors, and contractors.
  • Provide assistance to employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner, offering directions and information.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
  • Maintain a visible presence to deter crime and unauthorized activities.

Required Skills

  • Proven ability to operate surveillance equipment and security systems.
  • Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Kiswahili.

  • Basic first aid and emergency response knowledge.
