  • 7:00am-7:00pm
  • 7:00pm-7:00am

Position Summary:

Provides for security of people, property, buildings, and grounds. Guards against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creates and maintains an environment that translates the mission of eliseo into actions that are conducive to the maximum well-being of the residents served.
  • Facilitates coordination among all departments & divisions of eliseo in delivery of services.
  • Ensures consistent action is taken by all employees, volunteers, and visitors to comply with HIPAA security/privacy regulations regarding confidential patient records and information.
  • Make regular and consistent patrols in and around campus by foot and vehicle, checking for unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, and unauthorized people.
  • Examine doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure.
  • Watches for, reports and corrects fire hazards, leaking water pipes and security doors left unlocked or unsecured.
  • Submits work orders for any needed maintenance or safety hazards observed around campus.
  • Monitors and regulate vehicle traffic and parking throughout the campus to maintain orderly flow.
  • Warns violators of rule/policy infractions, such as loitering, smoking in unauthorized areas, parking infractions, or carrying prohibited articles.
  • Assist shack guards when additional support is required
  • Observes departing personnel to guard against theft of company property.
  • Sounds alarm or call police or fire department by telephone in case of fire or commission of serious crime.
  • Records and reports information such as property damage, unusual occurrences and malfunctioning/tampering with machinery or equipment.
  • Initiates investigations of any incidents reported and completes related forms thoroughly and timely and reports findings to Director.
  • Responds to emergencies around campus (including independent resident areas) as identified by the Receptionist or other members of the staff and provides assistance as needed.
  • Security working in the Security Shacks responsibilities are as follows:
  • Monitor all activity in assigned areas from designated security shacks.
  • Observe and identify suspicious people, vehicles or activities.
  • Maintain log of daily activity, visitor check-ins, and incidents.
  • Immediately communicate any concerns via radio to the roaming guard.
  • Follow company policies and procedures for reporting security incidents.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years in security, law enforcement, or military.
  • Current Washington State Driver's License.
  • Safe Driving Record.
  • CPR and First Aide Training preferred.

Upon acceptance of an offer, candidates must be able to pass a drug screen, reference checks and background check prior to starting work with eliseo.

Upon first day of hire, all staff are required to provide documentation of influenza vaccination (Seasonally for Influenza). Additionally, all staff will undergo tuberculosis testing upon their first day and annually.
