Security Officer – Full Time – Pueblo, CO (Site may not accessible by public transportation due to location and/or shift.) Greet vendors, client employee’s, client, and aid as needed. Conduct internal patrol and/or external mobile patrol when needed to check for unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, blocked ingress and egress, mechanical problems, unauthorized persons, inspects grounds using appropriate equipment and protective gear. Monitor entrance/exits and provide guidance to site visitors, and/or vendors. Complete daily activity (DAR), incident reports and logs via Securitas and client systems. Provide an atmosphere in which all client employees, site visitors, truck drivers, client, and Management know their needs are being met. Present a good image to client, public, and Management. Operates in a calm manner and directs persons who cause disruption to leave property. Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations; sets up barriers and signage, and provides direction or information to others. Observes and reports incidents or suspicious activity to client, Company Management, or public safety authorities as appropriate for the circumstances and/or as required by the site. Acts to ensure that all property removal is conducted within appropriate policy requirements and in accord with client standards. Work in a team environment to ensure site / organizational goals are achieved daily. Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site. Basic Requirements: 18 years of age or older. High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete the GED program within 6 months. Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus!! Must be able to interact with a wide range of customers in a calm and professional manner. Must have great attention to detail and have the ability to remain alert throughout the duration of the shift. Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation. All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation. Understands the nature of customer service and interactions with the public. Must have Day or Swing shift availability. Ability to cover shifts to ensure contract requirements are met. Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic. Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus. Must be able to interact with and greet site visitors, truck drivers, client employees, or client in a positive manner, while maintaining excellent customer service. Intermediate computer/technology skills needed to ensure completion of daily activity reports, and logs via handheld devices, and ability to report alarms via telephone. Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills to assist vendors, public, client, Site Supervisors, and Office Management. Must be open to communication and feedback from client, Site Supervisor and Office Management. Must be able to adhere to 15 minute, and lunch breaks. Must be able to remain organized and professional. Must be able to learn and adhere to security operations. Must provide high quality customer service in-person, via radio, and over the telephone. Must have a Colorado Driver’s License and clean driving record due to required mobile patrol. Must be able to attend in-person interview, and in-person orientation in Colorado Springs if hired. Responsibilities
