Join us and help keep the world of play - and EA - secure.<br /> The Secure Product Engineering & Anti-Cheat Response team ensures that all EA products are developed with the security and gameplay integrity of our players as a top priority. We partner with both platform development teams and game studios to ensure that security and gameplay integrity issues are identified and resolved throughout the application and service lifecycle.<br /> We are looking for a Senior Anti-Cheat Engineer II to help assert Electronic Arts' games as best-in-class in game security and integrity. Your primary responsibilities will include the development of our backend anti-cheat technologies, adding new features that address the scale of the problems we face in the anti-cheat space.<br /> You're a great team player, but are also able to go heads down and achieve success when given direction on our team's goals. In this role, you will solve a critical problem for our players, ensuring they have a fair and level playing field.<br /> *Remote Work May Be Possible<br /> You Will:<br /> • Design and develop backend microservices in Rust for scalable and resilient operation<br /> • Analyze and optimize data flow from client-side to backend services and data storage<br /> • Identify, investigate, and resolve issues at any layer of the technology stack, including AWS cloud infrastructure<br /> • Collaborate with internal developers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver project requirements<br /> • Document solutions, provide technical guidance, and contribute to system design discussions<br /> • Participate in on-call rotations or provide support for critical incidents as required<br /> You Have:<br /> • 5+ years of backend engineering experience, ideally including technical project ownership<br /> • Expert proficiency in Rust and related backend libraries<br /> • Strong background in microservices, distributed system fundamentals, and REST / gRPC APIs<br /> • Skilled in AWS infrastructure setup, monitoring, deployment, and troubleshooting<br /> • Demonstrated ability to dissect and resolve issues across application and cloud infrastructure<br /> • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to document and explain choices/solutions<br /> • Ability to work independently or as part of a distributed team<br /> • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines<br /> Bonus:<br /> • Experience with developing or reversing obfuscation or encryption technologies<br /> • Experience developing anti-tamper, anti-virus, or anti-malware SaaS technologies<br /> • Strong understanding of security software services and design of resilient systems<br /> • Experience in remote working environments, collaborating across multiple time zones<br /> • Understanding of cloud cost optimization and security/hardening techniques<br /> We want to connect you with job opportunities that align with your interests, skills, and expertise.
