Senior Broker, Excess Casualty
Aon is looking for a Senior Broker for the Excess Casualty Team in New York.
The National Casualty Practice is a premier team of casualty brokerage professionals with extensive experience in representing buyers of primary and umbrella/excess liability. We are looking to add a Broker III to our New York Excess Casualty team!
This is a hybrid role with at least three days a week in the New York office.

What the day will look like
- Perform the services of an Insurance Broker for Umbrella and Excess policies
- Advise and execute on the placement of new and renewal P&C programs including crafting submissions.
- Executing placements within required timeframes and servicing those placements including their renewals.
- Analyze and review insurance programs for clients to determine optimum program including structure, pricing, terms and conditions for both new and renewal business.
- Help with the development of new and innovative solutions for the National Casualty Practice
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with the carriers and underwriters.
- Mentor and help develop less experienced members of the team.
- Work as a team member and collaborate with other colleagues within the Aon team.
- Knowledge of Benchmarking and Loss Analysis.
- Potential to be involved in senior leadership of casualty team members

Skills and experience that will lead to success
- 15+ years of relevant insurance P&C business experience
- Proven knowledge of Casualty (Workers Compensation, Commercial Auto, General Liability, Umbrella/Excess).
- Strong understanding of national casualty risks and carrier appetites.
- Broad relationships with the carriers that write national casualty P&C business.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Outstanding Microsoft Suite and presentation skills.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of industry experience.
- Must maintain an active Property and Casualty insurance license, or be able to acquire one within the first 90 days of employment

Pay Transparency Laws:
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $175,000- $250,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of New York, NY. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receivean annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
