As a Senior Level Accountant with our firm, you'll play a critical role in reviewing staff bookkeeper work, preparing journal entries, performing full month-end closes, and assisting our CFO with high-level accounting projects for clients. You'll also have the opportunity to work with QuickBooks Online and utilize your expertise to review and correct financial statements as needed. Key Responsibilities • Review and correct financial statements as needed, including performing full month-end closes • Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close processes • Assist the CFO with high-level accounting projects for clients • Perform sales tax filings and other accounting tasks as required • Review and provide feedback on staff bookkeeper work • Respond to and address client concerns and matters quickly and efficiently via email • Meet deadlines on time, all the time Essential Qualifications Experience • 7+ years of full-charge bookkeeping experience • 5+ years of senior-level accountant experience Certifications & Education • QuickBooks ProAdvisor Certified (required) • Accounting degree or certification (preferred) Skills & Competencies • Excellent prior working references • Ability to respond to and address client concerns and matters quickly and efficiently via email • Ability to meet deadlines on time, all the time • Available time during business working hours as needed • Clean background check What We Offer Compensation & Benefits We offer a competitive salary of $35-$38 per hour, with the potential to build your hours and client portfolio over time. As a 1099 contractor, you'll have the flexibility to work part-time to full-time hours, with an expected 20-30 hours per week.
