Senior Project Development Engineer

Job Description: • Support with developing and executing the company's overall mission, values, and strategic goals • Prioritize objectives and implement strategies to achieve company initiatives • Identify opportunities to maximize the company's operating performance and achieving its financial goals • Contribute to innovations, strategic project development, and the profitability of the company • Drive collaboration across the organization to identify needs and develop scalable solutions • Find ways to save company money by improving/streamlining internal systems or procedures • Participate in internal risk mitigation meetings across the organization • Serve as a role model and mentor to junior engineers. • Invest in the development of their capabilities and contributions to the organization • Coordinate and perform ASHRAE Levels 1, 2 & 3 Commercial Building Energy Audits • Identify opportunities for energy and water conservation, on-site power generation, and resource conservation • Prepare project feasibility assessments, scopes of work, savings calculations, draft M&V plans, and investment grade audit reports • Serve as a technical resource in communications and presentations with the client • Review, analyze and prepare conceptual and detailed design documents, bid documents, arenaflex estimates, drawings, and specifications for facility improvement measures (FIMs) • Coordinate with vendors and installation contractors for scoping and pricing or proposed FIMs • Support engineering activities during project development, construction, project commissioning, and operations, including savings calculations, proposals, reports, arenaflex estimates, and presentations • Develop, implement, and enforce company-wide engineering and project development best practices • Gather and evaluate historic utility information to establish accurate baseline facility performance • Perform arenaflex savings calculations, life-cycle arenaflex analysis, and other project financial evaluations • Generate accurate computer-based energy models when appropriate • Carefully review submittals from vendors and subcontractors • Assist in proper equipment selection • Assist in the development of project Measurement and Verification (M&V) plans • Attend engineering, design, safety, construction, and any other project meetings as appropriate • Serve as a peer reviewer for calculations, estimates and scopes or work prepared by fellow engineering team members across the organization • Maintain awareness of new technologies, strategies, industry developments and standards. • Participate in local industry organizations (e.g. AEE, ASHRAE, etc.) and encourage community involvement • Maintain knowledge of existing and upcoming building and energy codes that directly impact our core business • Consistently demonstrate ability to successfully move into problem-solving mode whenever challenges or concerns arise. • Quickly address internal and external escalating issues • Work well with and demonstrate respect for colleagues at all levels and consistently contribute to a positive work environment for the entire staff • Develop relationships with vendors, contractors and other like-minded companies that support our projects • Consistently meet internal and external deadlines • Ensure company policies and procedures are followed • Promote an injury free work environment. • Promote a productive working atmosphere, and champion continuous improvement efforts. • Other duties as assigned Requirements: • Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent field of study • Five (5) or more years of industry experience • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) preferred • Extensive knowledge of performance contracting, design-build construction, and delivery of projects to the MUSH market • Superior written and verbal communication skills • An innovative and motivational mentality • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills • Confident and goal oriented • Ability to travel up to 35% Benefits: • Professional growth and development programs • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans for employee and family • Life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, and supplemental benefits • 401(k) Savings Plan • Paid Holidays • Paid Vacation and Personal/Sick Leave • Paid Parental Leave for the birth, adoption, or placement of a child/children • Highly competitive salaries and incentive structure Apply tot his job
