Join us.</p></div></section><section class="job-section" id="st-jobDescription"><div><p class="googlejobs-paragraph--empty"></p><h2 class="title">Job Description</h2></div><div class="wysiwyg" itemprop="responsibilities"><p><strong>AECOM</strong> is seeking a <strong>Senior Project Manager </strong>assigned to the Buildings and Places practice  in Roanoke, VA.  Alternatively, to working in the Roanoke office, the Senior Project Manager may work remotely where there is an established AECOM Buildings design presence.  </p><p>The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for mentoring and guiding the Federal design team to success. In addition to helping lead design development and review, the Senior Project Manager will also be responsible for client communication, consultant coordination, and contract administration. Project responsibility will be focused on a diverse portfolio within the Federal market sector.</p><p><strong>Job Summary/Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><p>Performs various management, leadership, and people accountability responsibilities for a specific project team.</p></li><li><p>Has full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating technical assignments.</p></li><li><p>Plans and develops engineering tasks concerned with unique or controversial problems. This involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope and selection of problems for investigation and development of novel concepts and approaches.</p></li><li><p>Acts as the primary liaison between internal/external project partners, ensuring effective communication, development, coordination and implementation of action plans.</p></li><li><p>You will independently guide and resolve technical matters on project with ability to consult with Technical Leadership on complex building code issues, while providing expertise in Healthcare or large campus program/project management.</p></li><li><p>Operates with minimal supervision, receiving primarily administrative guidance, with assignments framed in broad general objectives and limits, showcasing a leadership role with significant autonomy.</p></li><li><p>Leads a team of Architects and/or designers, orchestrating and aligning the activities of the project.</p></li><li><p>Flexibility and willingness to travel for project work part time as needed.</p></li></ul></div></section><section class="job-section" id="st-qualifications"><div><p class="googlejobs-paragraph--empty"></p><h2 class="title">Qualifications</h2></div><div class="wysiwyg" itemprop="qualifications"><p><strong>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Engineering and 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.</p></li><li><p>US licensed Architect or Engineer.</p></li><li><p>Due to the nature of this work, US citizenship is required.</p></li><li><p>Valid US Driver’s License, and as a condition of employment, pass AECOM's motor vehicle records review.</p></li></ul><p><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p><ul><li><p>15+ years of experience, including experience with federal programs and managing projects and people.</p></li><li><p>Direct experience managing projects for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) or other Department of Defense contracting agencies.</p></li><li><p>Federal government portfolio (DOD, VA, GSA, etc.).</p></li><li><p>Experience with (UFC’s, ETL’s, AFMAN’s, and AFI’s.).</p></li><li><p>Additional credentialing such as PMP, DBIA, and/or LEEP AP.</p></li><li><p>Experience in developing scope, fee, and terms for proposals and change orders for interdisciplinary teams related to building design and engineering.</p></li><li><p>Experience in implementing design quality assurance and quality control activities.</p></li><li><p>Ability to interact regularly and professionally with senior management and technical staff in other offices on business development and project execution issues.</p></li><li><p>USACE CQM certification or equivalent.</p></li><li><p>Industry certifications such as CCM or PMP.</p></li><li><p>Holds or previously held a Department of Defense security clearance.</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.</p></li><li><p>Proven organizational skills with a proven track record in client satisfaction while meeting deliverables and deadline requirements.</p></li><li><p>Internally driven, self-starter, team orientated.</p></li><li><p>Engineer with strong, hands-on technical knowledge as well as proven experience leading a team through all phases of a project.
