Senior Sage X3 Finance Consultant (Remote)

Role Description Mission: A Senior X3 Financial Consultant will participate in and/or lead the financial areas of Sage X3 projects while continuing to expand their Sage X3 and soft consulting skills to drive successful implementations and delight customers. Given our broad geographical footprint, candidates can be located anywhere in the United States. Objectives (Key Outcomes): • Reading Statements of Work (SOW) and Master Service Agreements (MSA) prior to engaging on a project. • Completing assigned tasks (with minimal guidance and oversight) within alignment of SOW, Business Process Review (BPR) documentation, and NexTec methodology. • Maintaining 70 percent or higher utilization on an average annual basis. • Maintaining appropriate Sage X3 certifications and continuing developing skill sets in Sage X3 focus areas (finance, distribution, or manufacturing). • Continuous development of soft consulting skills. Responsibilities • Participating in requirements gathering and design activities for the financial modules. • Interacting with the Consulting Team and others to collect information. • Leading and/or overseeing and providing guidance on configuration, training, testing, and go-live activities of medium to large size or complexity. • Leading activities and tasks and resolving functional questions. • Proactively communicating status, issues, and concerns to project manager and/or architect/lead. • Providing coaching and quality assurance to ensure team members are following NexTec implementation methodology and best practices • Negotiating resolutions to business/process/functional issues with business stakeholders. • Establishing and maintaining “trusted advisor” relationship with customers. • Following NexTec implementation methodologies. • Achieving utilization targets while achieving high customer satisfaction. Education and Experience Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in business, MIS, Computer Science, Finance, Supply Chain, or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Eight or more years of ERP implementation experience • A minimum of three years of experience implementing Sage X3. • Prior business experience in the finance field is required. • Results-oriented individual who can prioritize and execute activities in a high-pressure environment. • Ability to clearly describe end-to-end business processes and the key integration points, work cross-functionally across different business processes within an organization, and knowledge of challenges faced by implementation teams. • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Willingness to work in an energetic, fast-paced environment. • Expertise in business process and application functions. • Intermediate understanding of best practices of the industry NexTec serves (Agriculture, Cannabis/Hemp, Chemicals, Food and Beverage, Manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals). • Professional demeanor and the ability to work well with other team members and customers. Preferred: • Sage X3 Financial Certification is required, or a candidate must be willing to obtain. Additional certifications are a plus. • A strong understanding of the Sage X3 Financial module is preferred, including: • Analyzing and configuring auto journals • Default dimension configuration • RNI reconciliation • Fixed assets • Payment allocations and matching • Trial Balance reconciliation Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Compensation Compensation is commensurate with knowledge, skills, and experience. The general compensation range for the Sage X3 Senior Finance Consultant role is $85,000 to $120,000 per year, plus commission.
