Leidos is seeking a UX Specialist to be part of the mission solution and help lead our customer’s Digital Modernization Strategy. Find your “Why” with us and take your place in our Leidos Family!! • Derive business processes, analyze user needs, assist in requirements definition, design browser-based interfaces, and design and conduct usability testing • Elicit business goals and user needs from stakeholders • Facilitate customer discovery sessions • Create Conceptual Models, Journey Maps, Personas and Scenarios of Use • Create and refine screen prototypes • Document user requirements, screen designs, and design recommendations FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS (Basic Qualifications) • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics as well as interface with the customer on a daily basis • BS Degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience. Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. • Minimum of 6 years of direct Interaction/Interface design experience in User-Centered Methods and User Analysis. • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. • Must be a US Citizen FACTORS TO HELP YOU SHINE (Required Skills) These skills will help you succeed in this position: • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics as well as interface with the customer on a daily basis • Minimum of 6 years of direct Interaction/Interface design experience in User-Centered Methods and User Analysis • Minimum of 6 years of experience documenting user requirements, screen designs, and design recommendations • Minimum of 4 years of experience in designing and conducting formative usability tests in both formal and informal • settings • Minimum of 4 years of experience preparing and presenting findings and recommendations in small and large group settings • Must provide a digital portfolio of design work for review HOW TO STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD (Desired Skills) Showcase your knowledge of modern development through the following experience or skills: • Experience using Axure RP prototyping software • Experience with AdobeXD prototyping software • Experience with Pega and/or ServiceNow platforms • Experience with the Agile/Scrum methodology • Understanding of responsive design • Prior experience supporting government agencies • Understanding of Section 508 and its requirements regarding design • Hold additional UX Certifications such as UX Master Certification (NN/g) or UX Design Immersive (General Assembly) At Leidos, we deliver innovative solutions through the efforts of our diverse and talented people who are dedicated to our customers’ success.
