Job Summary The TMNA Business Development team is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Senior Consultant to lead home charging and home energy product development. As a Sr. Consultant, Electric Vehicle Charging Strategy and Development, you will be responsible for developing a differentiated home charging and energy experience that meets the needs of our customers. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify market opportunities, develop innovative solutions, and launch products that stay true to our business goals and overall Toyota energy strategy. Key Responsibilities: Lead the identification and prioritization of customer and market needs, as well as technology and trends in home EV charging and home energy space Develop and prioritize product/service solutions through business, technical, and market feasibility analysis Lead the architecture development between hardware, software, and services/partners, and build consensus between internal and external stakeholders to align on roles and responsibilities and timeline to develop and launch solutions Work directly with Sr Manager, Technical Strategy, to align on the strategy and implementation for the EV home charging experience as it relates to market conditions Lead cross-functional teams to develop and launch solutions that stay true to business goals and overall Toyota energy strategy Keep up-to-date with technology in automotive, energy, electrical, and battery space and decide the strategy for utilizing these technologies to create differentiated EV charging solutions Interface between the BD Division and TMNA/TMC counterparts to ensure close collaboration and coordination, transparent sharing of information, and strong support from One Toyota perspective Requirements Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering field from an accredited 4-year college or university Minimum 5 years of experience in developing EV charging technology and products, including hardware, communication protocols, and energy management software Deep knowledge of real-world implementation and field experience for EV charging equipment, backend network, user interface, and user experience Strong business acumen, financial modeling, and analytical skills Strong leadership skills and ability to manage projects across multiple internal and external groups Preferred Qualifications: Experience in electric vehicle charging, home electrical systems, and energy management Knowledge of real-world interoperability development and validation between EV charging equipment and EVs from various manufacturers Experience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices What We Offer Competitive Compensation and Benefits: Competitive salary and bonus structure Comprehensive health care and wellness plans for you and your family Toyota 401(k) Savings Plan featuring a company match, as well as an annual retirement contribution from Toyota Paid holidays and paid time off Flextime and virtual work options Vehicle purchase and lease programs Professional growth and development programs, including tuition reimbursement Career Growth Opportunities: Opportunities for career advancement and professional growth Collaborative and dynamic work environment Flexible work arrangements, including remote work options Access to cutting-edge technology and innovative projects Recognition and rewards for outstanding performance Why Join Toyota?
