<p><strong><u>Job Title:</u></strong> Sr. Technical Analyst-SAP-EC Payroll</p><p><strong><u>Department:</u></strong> HR Technology</p><p><strong><u>Reports to:</u> </strong>Director of Information Technology</p><p><strong><u>Location: </u></strong>Remote</p><p><strong><u>Position Summary</u></strong></p><p>We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Technical Analyst – SAP EC Payroll to serve as an expert-level consultant and technical authority for our SAP SuccessFactors environment, with a primary focus on SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP) and Workforce Software. This role is designed for a senior resource who can independently research, diagnose, and resolve complex payroll and system issues, provide advanced system guidance, and partner closely with the Payroll team as a trusted advisor.</p><p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities</u></strong></p><p><strong>SAP ECP Subject Matter Expertise</strong></p><ul><li>Serve as the primary expert and escalation point for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll.</li><li>Act as a trusted consultative partner to the Payroll team, providing guidance on system capabilities, best practices, limitations, and solution design.</li><li>Research, analyze, and resolve complex payroll processing issues, including configuration, rules, schemas, wage types, calculations, and data discrepancies.</li><li>Demonstrate strong understanding of how SAP handles Payroll Taxes, including tax configuration, calculation, reporting, and reconciliation.</li><li>Proactively identify system risks, improvement opportunities, and optimization strategies related to payroll operations.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Advanced Configuration, Development, and Support</strong></p><ul><li>Configure, maintain, and enhance ECP system settings to support evolving business and payroll requirements.</li><li>Design, create, and modify ECP programs, schemas, rules, and technical objects as needed to support complex payroll scenarios.</li><li>Develop custom payroll reports, queries, and variants directly from SAP Employee Central Payroll to support reconciliation, auditing, and operational needs.</li><li>Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex payroll and cross-module issues, performing root-cause analysis and implementing long-term corrective solutions.</li><li>Plan, test, and deploy changes across environments while following established change and release management practices.</li></ul><p><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration & Technical Leadership</strong></p><ul><li>Collaborate closely with Payroll, HR, IT, and external vendors to resolve high-impact issues and deliver reliable payroll solutions.</li><li>Serve as a technical mentor and knowledge resource for junior analysts or administrators.</li><li>Translate business and payroll requirements into scalable, compliant, and maintainable technical solutions.</li><li>Support payroll audits, year-end activities, and compliance-related initiatives.</li></ul><p><strong>Documentation, Knowledge Sharing & Enablement</strong></p><ul><li>Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including configurations, custom developments, troubleshooting guides, and operational procedures.</li><li>Establish and promote best practices for SAP EC Payroll configuration, support, and ongoing maintenance.</li><li>Provide advanced training, knowledge transfer, and system education to Payroll and HR teams to improve system understanding and self-service capabilities.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Qualifications</u></strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.</li><li>Extensive hands-on experience supporting SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll in a complex enterprise environment.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to operate as a senior-level consultant or subject matter expert for SAP payroll solutions.</li><li>Experience with Workforce Management Software and SAP SuccessFactors administration.</li><li>Deep functional and technical understanding of payroll processing, including taxes, retro calculations, off-cycles, and compliance.</li><li>Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently resolve complex payroll issues.</li><li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.</li><li>SAP SuccessFactors and/or SAP Payroll certifications are strongly preferred.</li></ul><p></p>
