Alexander Muss High School
is Israel a signature program of Jewish National Fund-USA (JNF) and known as HSI or AMHSI, delivers a transformative experience for teens through its semester, mini-mester and summer abroad programs in Israel. Unlike any other experience, we are the only pluralist, non-denominational, fully accredited international study abroad program in Israel for high school students – one in which the land of Israel becomes a living classroom. Students spend part of the academic school year or summer in Israel during the sophomore, junior or senior year of high school on an academic adventure, earning high school and college credits. Students enjoy a college-prep environment, living on our Hod HaSharon campus while exploring over 4,000 years of fascinating history, experiencing the land, culture, and people of Israel. AMHSI students return home with a heightened level of maturity and responsibility, along with strong bonds to new friends and a deeper connection to the State of Israel that lasts a lifetime.


POSITION OVERVIEW:

Jewish National Fund-USA is seeking a Student Admissions Interviewer to work with AMHSI. The Student Admissions Interviewer will be the first line of contact for potential students at AMHSI. The Student Admissions Interviewer will learn about their personalities and abilities, guiding them through the application process and making sure they are a right fit for the program. We are seeking a passionate storyteller and someone who is excited by the opportunity to contribute to an amazing experience in Israel for students at AMHSI.

Remote (must be within the US)

Reports To: Business Manager

Employment Type: Part-time

Salary: $20-25/hour based on experience level


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage interview process including schedule of interviews in a timely manner including Zoom/Teams meetings
  • Contacting pre-applicants who have started the application process for given program and offering guidance along the way
  • Prior to scheduling interviews ensure you have all relevant paperwork has been received especially medical forms
  • Assess interviewed candidates meet the requirements of the program both socially and academically
  • Following up on FAQ's that they have throughout the process and add FAQ answers to the website
  • Responsible for recording interviews, submitting the interview recordings, and completing the required interview forms
  • Work through the application process and get to know it well to help students and identify pitfalls
  • Making sure all relevant information is processed into Salesforce within a timely manner
  • Giving prompt responsiveness to all parties including students, parents, Israel office, Dean of admission and National Director of Admissions for AMHSI
  • Other duties as assigned


SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in the Education/Admissions field
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills, including public speaking abilities
  • Understanding social media and its ability to be used as a recruitment tool
  • Ability to work nights and weekends to interview students, as needed
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, internet research, Google Docs and CRM systems and ability to setup and use technology for presentation
