We’re thrilled to offer a summer internship with our Social Impact & ESG team – a hands-on experience for students and early-career professionals who are passionate about making a difference. This is a unique opportunity to learn about:• How corporate social responsibility initiatives are developed and measured• ESG strategy and reporting across a large organization• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive meaningful social and environmental impact If you’re eager to gain real-world experience in social impact, sustainability, and ESG while contributing to projects that matter, we’d love to hear from you! Internship start and end dates will be determined based on your school’s summer schedule. The ESG & Social Impact Intern will play a key role in supporting Planet Fitness’ overarching Purpose initiatives to drive social impact efforts. Specifically, this role will support community relations initiatives, track, measure and communicate impact, and wholistically support initiatives that enable team members and franchisees to deepen their impact in their local communities. The ESG & Social Impact Intern will collaborate across the organization and directly report to the Director, ESG & Social Impact.

Responsibilities

  • Works cross functionally to support Planet Fitness’ social impact initiatives
  • Supports the planning and execution of companywide volunteer initiatives
  • Partners across the organization to support initiatives including but not limited to, brand campaigns and team member resource groups (TMRGS), etc.
  • Works cross-functionally to collect ESG-related data
  • Tracks, measures and evaluates social impact efforts
  • Partners with the communications team to identify internal and external storytelling opportunities
  • Manages project timelines and processes invoices
  • Attends relevant community events as needed
  • Participates in other projects as needed

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in ESG, Sustainability, Corporate Responsibility, Social Impact, Business, or related field
  • Excellent writing and communications skills with strong attention to detail
  • Driven problem solver who can prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Extremely detail-oriented, project management skills
  • Ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Dedicated learner with a natural curiosity for consistent growth
  • Exhibits comfort, ease, and flexibility working in fast-paced environment
  • Cooperative team player with an upbeat, positive, “can-do” attitude!
