Supervisor: Production (North West Province)

Introduction

An Agritalent client, a multinational fertilizer firm, seeks a Supervisor to supervise production output & efficiencies, corporate governance, quality control, SHE, Stock and Labour.

Duties & Responsibilities

 Make sure that work is conducted in a safe manner and according to instructions and regulations, create and ensure high SHE awareness in the plant.

Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines and company standards

 Ensure optimum production, producing according to specifications.

 Ensure that log sheet reports are filled in and

 Daily instructions are read and action executed.

 Ensure all aspects of the operation are logged and discussed during shift change over.

 Be oriented about the status in the plant and report deviations to relevant personnel and Plant Manager

 Make sure that actions are taken to keep the plant in stable and safe operation.

 Supervision of raw material intakes with relation to quality and company procedures.

 Responsible for training of operators and utilize their time efficiency.

 Ensure the competence of the employees through training and job rotation.

 Ensure that operators take responsibility for cleaning the plant and maintaining the high standard of housekeeping.

 Effective task scheduling of operators, during lower production days, to keep workforce productive and effective.

 Establish daily, weekly and monthly objectives and communicate them to employees.

 Minimize spill creation.

 Involve the operators in all relevant aspects of the operation.

 Responsible for time keeping, including overtime and managing subordinates.

 Seek new solutions for increasing productivity.

 Detect issues in efficiency and suggest improvements.

Safety walks and talks rounds with production teams

 Ensure warehouse is clean and dry  Make sure that there is no spillage on the road.

 Communicate with Maintenance Manager & Plant Manager on maintenance requirements and scheduling.

 Updated reporting to Plant Manager on a daily basis.

 Prepare reports on performance and progress, discuss on a daily basis with Plant Manager.

 Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines and company standards

Desired Experience & Qualification

 Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification

 Working knowledge of SAP & Microsoft Office.

 Customer service orientated with high working standards

 High level of organizational commitment and responsiveness, able and willing to align your own behaviour and actions with the needs, priorities and goals of the plant and Kynoch.

 Good inter-personal skills, able to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders, to accomplish organisational goals and identity; and resolve problems.

 Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
