About the Project

The UP Tourism Project is a strategic initiative to transform tourism infrastructure, heritage destinations, and cultural circuits across Uttar Pradesh into globally competitive, sustainable, and high-impact tourism ecosystems. The project integrates infrastructure modernization, heritage conservation, destination branding, and public-private partnerships.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic, visionary, and execution-driven Team Leader to spearhead large-scale tourism and heritage development initiatives. The role demands strong strategic leadership, policy alignment expertise, financial oversight capability, and stakeholder management at state and national levels.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Architecture / Urban Planning / Tourism Management / Heritage Management (preferred from reputed institution)
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in tourism infrastructure, heritage-led urban development, or government-funded infrastructure projects
  • Proven track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams in large-scale public sector projects
  • Experience in DPR preparation, bid documentation, and project execution monitoring

Core ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & Planning

  • Lead end-to-end planning, design oversight, and execution of tourism development projects.
  • Develop integrated tourism master plans aligned with state and national tourism policies.
  • Drive innovation in destination planning, sustainable tourism, and visitor experience enhancement.

Project & Financial Management

  • Oversee preparation and vetting of DPRs, feasibility studies, cost estimates, and implementation schedules.
  • Monitor budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation to ensure fiscal discipline.
  • Ensure projects meet defined KPIs, timelines, and quality benchmarks.

Stakeholder & Government Coordination

  • Act as the primary liaison between government authorities, consultants, contractors, funding agencies, and local stakeholders.
  • Conduct high-level review meetings and present progress updates to senior officials.
  • Facilitate inter-departmental coordination and resolve project bottlenecks.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure adherence to tourism policies, heritage conservation norms, environmental guidelines, and statutory regulations.
  • Establish project governance frameworks and reporting systems.
