Job Title: Test Automation Architect Location: Remote (Occasional travel to Florida) Position Type: W2 - Contract Note: Client prioritizing candidates with Mainframe / COBOL testing experience, Test Architect background, and strong customer-facing skills. Role Overview: The Test Automation Architect will lead the design and implementation of enterprise-level testing strategies across complex systems. The role involves defining test architectures, establishing automation frameworks, and enabling overall testing excellence for application development, ERP, and Mainframe transformation initiatives. This is a client-facing consulting role requiring strong technical, architectural, and advisory skills. Key Responsibilities: Testing Strategy & Architecture: • Design scalable and enterprise-grade test architectures aligned with business & technical goals. • Define end-to-end testing strategy—functional, regression, integration, performance, security. • Promote shift-left testing, continuous testing, and integration of automation with arenaflex/CD. Automation Engineering • Develop and implement automation frameworks (UI, API, performance, security). • Work with tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, REST Assured, Postman, JMeter, Gatling. • Implement AI-driven, RPA, or low-code/no-code automation where needed. Quality Governance & Best Practices • Establish QA processes, standards, and metrics for testing performance and quality. • Oversee test data management, environment readiness, and test orchestration. • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. • Mentor clients and internal teams across test automation and performance engineering.
