About the position

Urban Outfitters is seeking a Web Producer who is enthusiastic, dedicated, and organized to play a key role in the product catalog management and visual merchandising for UrbanOutfitters.com’s marketplace program. The Web Producer will be responsible for a variety of e-commerce operational tasks and duties, including site catalog management, new product activation, quality assurance, product attribution for search and navigation, and overall website shop-ability. This role will also offer support to product catalog and web production tasks outside of marketplace catalog. The ideal candidate is dynamic, flexible, and driven, thriving under pressure and tight deadlines. This role involves managing various tasks related to web management, web merchandising, and product publishing. Success in this position requires exceptional organizational, communication, and prioritization skills, along with keen attention to detail. The ability to strategically filter and prioritize feedback and requests is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the daily activation and maintenance of the product catalog and select content on US website. This includes conducting regular audits and managing the entire lifecycle of the assigned catalog area.
  • Utilize multiple web applications such as a catalog management system, content management system, merchandising and on-site search tool, and inventory tracking systems.
  • Ensure a clear digital customer experience by managing PDP information, cross-selling strategies, browse category filtering, and search functionalities.
  • Responsible for operational best practices that ensure optimal product find-ability via browse and on-site search as well as search engine optimization (SEO)
  • Work closely with cross functional teams to research, resolve and QA various aspects of site and app functionality in relation to product catalog and digital experience
  • Attend meetings and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of optimal web merchandising experience.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues before they go out to the customer; follow-through until resolution is vital.
  • Ongoing QA and monitoring of website content and proper functionality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Experience working in a collaborative or professional environment.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills that can be applied inter/intra departmentally to obtain critical information from other teams or individuals.
  • Strong capacity for multi-tasking, organization, working independently and time management.
  • Candidates should be able to prioritize and maintain a high level of accuracy doing multiple tasks in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proactive personality.
  • An appreciation for and understanding of the Urban Outfitters customer and aesthetic.
  • A passion for retail and specifically ecommerce in today’s marketplace.
  • In-depth computer literacy and internet proficiency.
  • Must be comfortable working with technical systems and troubleshooting web issues.
  • An impeccable eye for detail and strong quality assurance skills.
  • Ability to work in Philadelphia, PA office at least 3 days weekly.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in a CMS, catalog merchandising system or similar
  • Experience working in Mirakl or an ERP like Island Pacific
  • Competency with web-based product, content, or catalog management applications.
  • Understanding of global e-commerce website experiences and international fashion markets.
  • Technical expertise to answer questions about or troubleshoot problems with the website.
  • Interest in utilizing data to make decisions.
  • Basic understanding of Google Analytics, IBM Core Metrics or Adobe Omniture is a plus.
