What You'll Do:

Play a critical role in keeping production moving efficiently and safely. As a Utility Operator, you will support manufacturing operations by transporting molds, materials, and equipment throughout the facility using forklifts and other material handling equipment.

  • Deliver molds, raw materials, powders, and production supplies safely and efficiently to rotational molding and injection molding machines.
  • Transport molds to and from the mold shop and ensure proper storage in designated racks.
  • Move pallets, containers, and materials between departments to support daily production needs.
  • Assist Fabrication, Design, and Assembly teams with transferring large cases and materials.
  • Support the Test Lab and other departments with forklift-related tasks as needed.
  • Maintain accurate mold and material locations to ensure production efficiency and organization.
  • Follow all safety procedures and operate forklifts and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with Pelican quality and safety standards.
  • Work from written and verbal instructions while supporting production timelines and operational goals.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
  • Follow company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and operational standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall production success.
  • 3rd Shift Work Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 10pm-6:15am Eastern Time

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to complete Pelican forklift certification.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Strong attention to safety, organization, and detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while supporting production priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous forklift experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or production operations.
  • Familiarity with material handling processes and production workflows.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

What you may be doing:

  • Actively supports and complies with Pelican’s objectives, guidelines and commitment to Quality and Safety, with an emphasis on continual improvement.
  • Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels
  • Must have the ability to complete assignments within the timeframe specified by the Manager
  • Must be flexible regarding working hours and overtime. Must be able to work overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.
  • Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
