In this role you will maximize production efficiency through effective item placement, warehouse analysis, and maintaining system related logic that affects production work. On a weekly basis you will review and execute opportunities for improvement in the facility (or facilities) that you are responsible for. You will assist in identification and execution of projects to improve the efficiency of operations.

  • Earn $26.50 per hour
  • Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
  • 95 North Hatfield Road, Hatfield , MA

You will contribute by:

  • Manage adding unslotted new items into the warehouse footprint while considering the following criteria: dimensions, selector and forklift operator feedback, GMP and OSHA best practices, flammability, commodity and temperature grouping, and special customer requirements
  • Work closely with Site and Slotting Leadership to improve building capacity and quality, reduce damage, and drive improved team performance while keeping safety top of mind.
  • Ensure consistency between systemic (WMS) and physical warehouse environment including location labels, slot sizes and capacities, put away forklift rules, and item information (dimensions, description, etc.)
  • Liaison between DC and corporate functions such as procurement and MDM to ensure accurate product information

Skills

  • Specialized Knowledge : Computer skills- MS Word, MS Excel (intermediate to advanced skills), MS Access, SQL, and WMS systems (EXE or Triceps preferred)
  • Special Skills : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills, ability and other characteristics required: Demonstrates commitment and ability to work safely. Show reliability and maintain satisfactory attendance. Produce quality work. Ability to maintain required productivity/work expectations • Ability to operate required materials handling equipment (MHE). Attention to detail and accuracy. Good math and reading skills. Ability to clearly communicate with site and departmental leadership both verbally and in writing.
  • Physical abilities: : Occasionally sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling. Occasionally gripping, carrying, pushing, lifting, pulling carrying up to 60 Lbs. Occasionally climbing up to 4 ft. (Must have fall protection training and using proper fall protection equipment). Frequently standing, handling, and feeling. Frequently standing on surface type (s): Carpet, tile, concrete. Continuously walking on surface type (s): Carpet, tile, concrete. Continuously reaching (level: Waist/overhead, etc). Continuously talking, seeing, hearing, smelling and repetitive movement.
  • Other: : Ability to quickly learn and understand warehouse operations, able to be self directed and self motivated, advanced critical thinking skills. Able to effectively balance multiple frequently changing priorities
  • Travel Requirements : Travel is not required for this role, but some team development opportunities may occasionally include travel
