You also will be a part of a culture centered on embracing a growth mindset, a theme of inspiring excellence, and encouraging teams and leaders to bring their best each day. <br><br>In the Windows consumer category business, our business goal is to deliver incredible Windows experiences to consumers worldwide with best-in-class high performing PC’s. The Worldwide Windows Consumer Category Team is responsible for driving Windows’ business results. Key responsibilities of the team include:  <br><br><ul><li>Planning - Identify key consumer segments for compete and growth opportunities. Lead the seasonal category planning for Windows to ensure we deliver growth helping Microsoft and its partners to grow revenue, profits and share.   </li><li>Execution – Collaborate with  Sales and Consumer channel & partner marketing team to align investments and GTM plans across channels marketing to best achieve our strategic goals and adapt plans as needed during execution.  </li><li>Management & Monitoring – ensure strong tracking of the business and drivers. Identify upsides and manage risks or gaps along with representing the voice of the partner and customer so we can build fans. Own annual, quarterly and monthly planning and reporting motions.    </li><li>Transformation - In partnership with our product group, device partner sales, and OEM team, continuously define strategies to reinvent ourselves and secure long-term growth leveraging approaches that will deliver loyal, highly satisfied, actively engaged customers.    <br><br></li></ul> <br><br>The Windows Consumer Category Lead for Nordics is responsible for driving Windows’ business results in Nordic markets.  <br><br>This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home. <br><br>Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond. <br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong>Win customers at key marketing & sales beats: <br><br><ul><li>Plan & execute category sales and go-to-market plans that maximize key market level seasonal selling beats (Back to School, Holiday, Spring).  <br><br></li></ul>Lead Silicon Consumer Category Partnership:  <br><br><ul><li>Effectively partner with silicon partners to drive ecosystem strategy and GTM alignment in Nordics markets   </li><li>Define and execute silicon engagement rhythm  in Nordics markets  <br><br></li></ul> Land the right assortment of PCs to engage customers/retail partners: <br><br><ul><li>Partner with Sales to land the right device assortment by retail partner, executed to WW guidance & planograms.  </li><li>Leverage existing product portfolio and line logic to create success for and with our partners.  </li><li>Plan variants with top accounts to drive differentiation, gain unit commitment & win share.   <br><br></li></ul>Win share with compelling retail offers & programs:  <br><br><ul><li>Land strong consumer promotional plans to stay competitive and drive volume, mix and share.  </li><li>Drive incremental sell thru via well designed and funded programs.  <br><br></li></ul>Optimize conversion:  <br><br><ul><li>Partner with Consumer Channel Partner Marketing to drive always on in store & online marketing that lands key Windows messaging  </li><li>Leverage opportunities to increase attach of key Microsoft services, such as Microsoft 365 and Game Pass  <br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Experience in category management, product management, marketing strategy, business planning, product planning, or related work experience<br><br></li></ul><strong> Additional Or Preferred Qualifications (PQs) <br><br></strong><ul><li>Able to directly deliver and deliver thru influence of others - both internally at Microsoft and externally thru retail partners.  </li><li>Ability to confidently represent the Windows business in front of partners and stakeholders at all levels inside and outside Microsoft.  </li><li>A successful track record in managing and transforming a consumer category, while meeting sales and profitability targets.  </li><li>Proven executive communication skills.  </li><li>Ability to successfully navigate a complex, matrixed international environment.  </li><li>Sharp analytical skills and acumen and can use to review and manage budgets, market data, and deal opportunities.  </li><li>Experience planning and executing assortment plans, marketing strategies, and activities that drive business results.  </li><li>Experience in category marketing, product marketing and/or sales.  </li><li>Experience with devices sales in consumer channels a plus.  </li><li>An entrepreneurial spirit, passionate about building businesses, and thrives within a fast-paced environment.  </li><li>Exemplify Microsoft values including integrity, honesty, openness, personal excellence, constructive self-criticism, and mutual respect.  <br><br></li></ul>This position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.<br><br>Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
