Salary Range:

$106,000.00 - $138,000.00

What’s the role?
 

We are seeking a Workplace Operations Manager to join the Workplace Experience team. This role will provide operational oversight and leadership of the Office Operations team as well as contractor staff. Under this role, the Workplace Operations Manager is responsible for coordinating day-to-day office operations, and for providing the highest quality customer service in a responsive and efficient manner to all employees and executives in Etsy’s headquarters office in Brooklyn, NY.


This is a full-time position reporting to the Director, Workplace Experience. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy. 

This role requires your presence in Etsy’s Brooklyn Office once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. What’s this team like at Etsy?

  • The Workplace Experience team consists of our community events, food programming, office operations and onsite management teams. We pride ourselves on being a hands-on, helpful team that jumps in to solve problems quickly, ensuring that the office is always a welcoming and productive place to be.

  • Our team sits within the broader Workplace team that oversees how our offices are designed, operated and brings our employees together. Workplace includes three main verticals covering (in addition to Workplace Experience) safety and security, space planning, construction, design and facilities.

What does the day-to-day look like?

  • Responsible for day-to-day operations and work closely with our internal teams to ensure a high standard across office operations including cleaning, mailroom organization, storage and supply management, and space setups

  • Manage and train a team of Workplace contractors including cleaning, mailroom management and porter support

  • Provide an outstanding employee experience by overseeing the management of Zendesk service tickets and Workplace slack channels, ensuring our team understands their needs and delivers the right solutions.

  • Manage storage spaces and desk policy and enforcement including storage space management, locker management, dedicated desking, and resetting of spaces. 

  • Lead team onsite and event operational support including space setups and resets 

  • Provide strong leadership to the team with a willingness to jump in the trenches with your team to remove barriers to help solve problems.

  • Proactively partner with cross functional teams including Facilities, Protection, IT/AV, and Community & Events to coordinate services and streamline processes

  • Track service metrics, budgets and operational trends to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:

  • 3-5 years of office and project management experience, specifically in a commercial office setting.

  • Demonstrated experience in vendor management, particularly cleaning, mailroom and porter services

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with high level management, while accommodating employee requests with empathy

  • An upbeat disposition and a sense of humor, plus an ability to remain calm under pressure and flexible in the face of changing priorities

  • Adept problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Proficient digital literacy. Experience with Google suite, Zendesk, Monday.com and MAC is preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. You'll work alongside a diverse community!

  • Maintain a personal schedule to remain flexible for off hours/emergency support.
